PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

- The filter is Long Soft Graduated Neutral Density 0.6

- The filter glass is made by B270 glass of German SCOTT

- The filter both sides are ultra-precisely polished to maintain a high filter flatness accuracy. (Ultra Low Reflection Filter)

WHAT IS LONG SOFT GND FILTER ?

This GND filter has long length areas of soft GND effect. A ordinary soft edge GND filters (half GND filters) usually have a ND effect in half area of the filter.

The total rectangular area of this filter is 170mm length and 150mm width . 

This long version soft GND filter has 40mm length in maximum ND areas from the top of filter rectangle, the soft gradation area is 90mm length, and 40 mm length from the bottom of filter rectangle is transparent area. 

So, this long soft GND filter have more of soft gradation areas as 90mm in center of the filter.

New coating technology is used to reduce the reflectance between the surfaces (between the ND and transmitting areas).
This product is the best result of our quest for the world's best rectangular filter.
The maximum density of this filter is 0.6 equal with ND4 effect at maximum ND areas.

The filter has a very high transmittance of visible light and is designed to minimize bluish tints when shooting with long exposures. You will notice that this is different from the common ones. 

The oil-proof, waterproof, and dust-proof coating is so strong that it can be wiped with an ordinary cloth, and it is especially nice to be able to quickly wipe off oil, etc. from your hands and move on to shooting.

Half of the filter has a light-reducing effect, with the light-reducing effect being stronger at the edges and becoming thinner as you move toward the center. The darker areas are ND4.

It is often used during sunrise and sunset before the sun rises.

Otherwise, it is used when shooting landscapes during the daytime without the sun.

Also, when shooting with the ocean or a lake in the shot, you can use two ND filters at the same time to increase the exposure time.
