The contact point with the lens is made of EVA (synthetic resin) for a press-fit installation.
The lens can be used without a filter or with a filter in an instant, and can also be quickly replaced with another filter. A strap and hook are provided to prevent the filter from falling out, allowing for a quick response.
The packing at the contact point with the lens may deteriorate after a few years, depending on how often it is used, so a replacement pad is also available for this purpose.
